Hello and Welcome

I first set up this site as a kind of professional bookmark. I’d recently moved and was looking for a new job. Sure there was social media, but that felt so ‘social’. Building a website was a launching off point to updating my resume.

I may have approached the whole thing backwards but it worked. I got a job and soon this space fell into disuse. Looking over what I created I’m amazed at how things date; I have (or had) a Twitter icon until recently, I don’t do video, and apparently I still write a Blog. Should I move to Substack?

Recently there seems to have been renewed interest in the little space I’ve created here. Ask me about identity theft some day. The time has come to reintroduce myself and maybe even try to dust off the volumes and see if it all still floats.

My name is Andrew.

I’m still a Speech Pathologist and still a Broadcaster. I’ll try to keep at least the front page up to date.

I’ve been working in the communication space for a few decades now and feel genuinely privileged for all the wonderful people who have crossed my path and the conversations we’ve had.

Final Draft is now a national show on the Community Radio Network. Having the chance to share Australian Writing to a wider audience is incredible. If you listen to the show, thank you.

When I write, I write for myself. I’m terrible at keeping a schedule and unsure who would read me anyway. This has been fun though. Maybe we’ll try some more posts soon…
